About the event
Richard Blackwood in Southampton Saturday 7th February Over the following years Richard built an impressive CV across broadcasting and theatre. He became a household voice on Choice FM (now Capital XTRA), hosted RB’s Sunday School, the station’s top-rated Sunday show and launched RB Real Talk, a live seminar series tackling community issues and inspiring young people. On stage, he starred in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (West End, 2009) alongside James Earl Jones, and played Donkey in Shrek: The Musical (2011–2013), a role that pushed him into singing and musical theatre at the highest level.
Richard’s screen career flourished with a major role in EastEnders (2015–2018) as Vincent Hubbard, and since 2020 he has starred in Hollyoaks as Felix Westwood. Beyond acting, he has used his platform for social good, memorably undergoing a live prostate cancer examination on ITV’s This Morning, helping break stigma and raise awareness for men’s health.
In 2024, Richard celebrated 30 years in stand-up with a sold-out nationwide UK tour, reaffirming his status as one of Britain’s most versatile and enduring entertainers. Whether on stage, screen, or radio, Richard Blackwood continues to prove that versatility, longevity, and authenticity are the hlmarks of a true entertainer.

Nancy Macdonald is a London-based comedian known for her bold, witty, and unapologetically fun style of stand-up. Self-described as the “plus-size Dis-knee princess,” she brings a unique voice to the comedy circuit with sharp observations, fearless humour, and infectious stage presence.
Nancy is the creator of LAFTALENZ and a member of the Mandem Fridays Comedy collective, performing regularly at venues such as City Comedy Club and Big Belly Bar & Comedy Club.
Otis Jones
Otis Jones is a rising stand-up whose sharp observations turn everyday chaos into comedy gold. He’s opened for TV comics including Fiona Allen, Stuart Goldsmith, Elliot Steel, and Harriet Dyer, won multiple competitions nationwide, and was a semi-finalist for Hot Water’s Comedian of the Year.
Max Mckenzie
Max Mckenzie an enigmatic east londoner who prides himself on cheekiness often telling dark stories with a sense of whimsy, does love a risky twist or ten and much like you does want the world to be a better place but would rather tell jokes instead.

Bar opens at 6.30pm with 7pm we open the doors for our Southampton Comedy Club ready for the show starting approximately at 7.45pm.
In the unlikely event that we cancel the event, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
Seating is unreserved on a first come first serve basis.
There are NO physical tickets and all ticket holders will be on a list on the door and as back up we request you bring proof of purchase on your phone with your ticket confirmation order, so no need to print anything off.
